하루종일 헤드폰을 끼고 있다보면, 나오는 노래에 크게 관심을 기울이지 않게 된다. 예전 처럼 가수 찾아가면서 노래를 듣지 않다보니 점점 익숙한 노래만 듣는데 가끔씩 새로운 노래가 리필이 되고 그런 노래들은 가끔씩 필이 꽂히 기도 한다. Corinne Baily Rae도 역시 그렇게 잊혀진 가수 였는데, 오늘이 그녀에게 필이 꽂히는 날인가 보다.

낮게 읇조리는 그녀의 노래는 부드러움 자체이다. 악기도 많이 쓰지 않는다. 조용한 방에서 혼자 속삭이듯이 부른 노래들 특히 드럼 소리들이 대체로 절제되어 있다. 그래서 그런지 더욱 듣기 편하다. 가사도 아름답다. 영어를 잘 모르는 나에게도 그녀의 노래의 가사들은 아름답게 느껴진다. 단단히 필이 꽂힌 듯하네..
